Jihad Abdulmumit’s play, “The More Things Change, the More They Remain the Same: From the Black Slave Codes to the Patriot Act,” will be performed at 7 tonight at Empire Theatre, 114 W. Broad St.
The drama, produced by For Our Children Productions, depicts possible dire consequences of the Patriot Act on the civil liberties of Americans in the year 2010 and, more specifically, its impact on African-Americans and other minorities.
