The Democracy Ultimatum!

Here’s the thing, American democracy belongs to ‘we the people’. American democracy doesn’t belong to Congress or to G. Bush or even to the Supremes of the Supreme Court. Hear that Antonin? Ain’t yours so, piss off!
American democracy isn’t a “commodity� that’s to be exported hither and yon at the whim and whimsy of G. Bush. Nope. American democracy has never been the “bottom line� for the mercantile types. Most of America’s ‘founding fathers’ were mercantile types and that can be forgiven with the passage of low these many, many years. American democracy is the sole and final property of yup, ‘we the people’. Those on the right and those on the left and the most of us that are lost somewhere in the middle of all that yelling.
American democracy can embrace those wacky Puritangelical religious wingnuts and even Mormons. HAH! I take another shot at my brothers and sisters of the weird Utah religion. I can legitimately do that. I’m from Mormon stock. That would make me a “stock in trade� descendant of Mormons. Yikes, I poke funs at the family.
American democracy can embrace Cindy Sheehan and even when she’s pissed at Democrats. Ms. Cindy has every right to be pissed at Democrats. The Democratic Party sucks about right now and the Daily Kos needs to get the fuck over it and Ms. Cindy. Ms. Cindy however, needs to realize that Scott Ritter wasn’t trying to wind her up. Mr. Ritter had sound advice for Ms. Cindy and all the anti-war types. Come back Mr. Ritter, we needs you.
American democracy IS ‘we the people’. All of us. Black, white, pink, plaid, Scottish tartan, gay, lesbian (although I read some silly screed about lesbians and the Isle of Lesbos and I’m still wondering what that meant), Latino, Native American, green, blue, red, conservative, liberal, regressive, progressive, and you should by now catch my drift. Hell even Justin Raimondo is embraced and with joyous celebration, by that rich American democracy. I’m joking with you dah-link so, don’t take offense.
Now, American democracy is under serious threat these days. For starts, let’s wonder aloud why Nancy Pelosi won’t begin the process of impeaching G. Bush and Dick ‘the wonder-scum’ Cheney. Golly Nancy you silly cow, what is up with that? Are you so thoroughly bought and paid for that, you’ll ungraciously support and endorse treason? Is it the chains connecting you to that traitorous AIPAC gang of weenies that’s got you in such a blind state of ignorance? What is it girl friend? What’s the deal? Hmmm?
America is suffering a severe case of political schizophrenia. Patriotic Americans that speak out against the G. Bush treason are castigated and repudiated and given that rude cold shoulder and then, are threatened with “enemy combatant� status and a nice visit to Guantanamo. Congress sits on it’s well-pampered ass and allows the Bush tyranny to spread unchecked. What the fuck is up with that? Where are America’s champions of democracy? The entire Democratic Party can sit down and shut the hell up until, if and when, you’re willing to part company with the special interest/corporate elites and work for the American people. The Republicans are lost and have been for quite sometime. Can you say treachery?
We need more patriotic leadership that is well versed in the real meaning of democracy. Not that two party crap-o-la that Dems and Repukes are ramming down America’s throat at present. Generals Shinseki and Batiste? ‘We the people’ are calling, are you up for a game of “take back America’s democracy?� Scott? Are you there? Colin? You can be forgiven. Really, it’s time. Come out and make a clean breast of it. You were once, an honorable man.
