That Killing Thing

by Don Nash

So the gunman did that killing thing at about seven in the morning and two freaking hours later, the gunman pulled a repeat performance. Practice makes perfect. Right. What the hell were the campus cops doing for two freaking hours? Oh wait this just in, freebies at the coffee shop. Lattes and crispy cream filled delights. Dead students? They can wait. We’re on break so, don’t bother us for about two freaking hours. It all fits in perfectly with that whole killing motif made trendy by the Bush gang of war criminal killers. Deadeye Dick Cheney says, “I’ve never met a killer that couldn’t fit in somewhere.

There’s killing here, there, and just about everywhere. Get yourself a nice Glock and you too can play the game. Take a human life and then take another human life and what the hell, there’s entirely too many darn humans anyway. What is it that George ‘killer’ Bush likes to say? Oh yeah, “we embrace the culture of life. George likes to say that directly after he’s been given the most recent body count from Iraq or Lebanon or Somalia or Darfur or Virginia Tech. Culture of life? Yeah sure. Culture of death or should that be a cult of death. George certainly seems cult like in his fascination with death.

Let’s see, the knee-jerks will spit loads of crap about how the V.T. students should have been manly, armed and well, they could have taken the gunman out. Yeah sure, sure. Students have worlds more pressing and important matters like education, tests, papers, and staying alive on a campus where the campus cops can’t be bothered with sealing off a freaking killing field while a gunman is roaming hither and yon killing innocent people. Two freaking hours later and the killing continues unabated. The gunman killed himself and what the hell were the campus cops doing? Oh yeah I forgot, doughnuts.

A Glock and a Walther. Pretty upscale weaponry for a student. Why would there be a gun shop located so conveniently close to a campus? Oh right sorry I forgot, that Second Amendment thingy. Can’t be killing students without a Second Amendment. One could suppose that the student gunman did allow the cops to pry his gun from his cold dead hand. Yikes! Gots to have dem guns! Killing is just so eerily inefficient without a gun. If one is about the business of killing, nothing says efficient like a pistole! Or well maybe, some precision laser guided munitions. Or bunker-busters or nukes or cluster bombs. We probably shouldn’t forget that ever favorite means of killing innocents, napalm. Nothing says crispy creamed like napalm. It’s probably damn lucky for the students at Virginia Tech that loony gunman student kid didn’t have connections to the military and the black market for small arms.

Violence is only ever put into proper perspective by the level of the violence itself. Want big violence? Get big weaponry. Glocks and Walther’s and IED’s and those shaped-charged explosive things that the U.S. military maintains Iran is supplying to the Sunnis in Iraq. Yeah, Shias supplying explosives to the Sunnis. Key-rist! Just how stupid does the U.S. military figure the American people are? Well, probably about as stupid as the Virginia Tech campus cops figure students and Americans to be if anyone buys their lame-ass excuse about two freaking hours between the first killing and all the other killings. Two freaking hours and so many innocents dead. Blacksburg or Baghdad and dead is dead. One mass murder is just as wantonly stupid as any second mass murder.

You know, the Constitution and the Second Amendment says nothing about bullets. Well armed militias and the right to keep and bear arms but, nothing about bullets. Hey John Yoo, how was that constitutional analysis? Not bad for a rank amateur. For the students at Virginia Tech, I am so sorry for your horror and your loss. How do we end violence?
