Hairy Squatter and the Death of Decency

According to the Stars and Stripes and dated Sunday April 1, 2007, the U.S. military did not bomb the bejesus out of Sadr City in Baghdad, Iraq. The Stars and Stripes is one of the whiz-bang quasi “official� reporting organs for the DoD. The brief article is written by one Joseph Giordono and wears the official title, ‘Officials reject reports of U.S. involvement in Sadr City air-strike’. Okay, that’s enough with the requisite acknowledgments and credits.
Here’s the deal. A number of Middle East news outlets and quoting Mr. Giordono, that would include “CNN Arabic�, reported that the U.S. military bombed Sadr City and killed a number of civilians. Wow go figure. A U.S. air strike and dead innocent Iraqi men, women, and children. Stars and Stripes gave up the “official� party line and the U.S. military denied any and all of it. The officially “denied� bombing took place on Friday March 30, 2007.
According to a Defense Department spokesman, one Lt. Col. Quandarian L. Misanthrope, “we didn’t do it. Couldn’t have happened. Did not possibly even occur to us. Nope wasn’t us. Does anyone have that on video tape? Say what? We know nothing!â€? Oh…tay!
Now the last time I checked, there simply wasn’t another air force operating in Iraq. Nowhere at anytime or anyplace in the “operation theater� known lovingly as Iraq. Couldn’t have been the British. Couldn’t have been the Poles. Do the Poles even have an air force? So by some strange act of bizarre coincidence, the bombs that fell on Sadr City must have mysteriously fell from space in a single act of defiance that flies in the face of the laws of physics. A genuine act of space/time anomaly sort of killing mystery. Everyone loves a mystery after all.
In another twenty or thirty days, the DoD will have to reverse the original “denial� of their war crime and once again, be the contrite liars the U.S. military has come to be under the tutelage of one George ‘war gangster’ Bush. Denial in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary has become a Bush administration tour de farce. Silly darned Sadr City-ites must have air struck themselves. Hold on one minute, it was the al-Qaeda Air Force. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
Remember when Saddam Hussein stuffed those pesky wmd’s up his arse and thereby left George ‘war gangster’ Bush looking like a complete idiot? That was pretty darned indecent of him wasn’t it? Remember when the U.S. military denied Abu Ghraib and the horrors of torture that the U.S. military was mired up to their hooded stars and stripes in? Decency and integrity have taken a permanent leave of absence from the U.S. military. The entire Iraq preemptive civil war is an indecency beyond the pale of human tolerance. Where oh where are the war crimes tribunals when a suffering people need them? Camp X-ray Delta Inquisition Guantanamo Bay doesn’t count for a tinker’s damn.
Speaking of indecency and the Bush gang of war criminals, how about Ms. Monica Goodling? Taking the Fifth she is. Ms. Goodling seems ethically impaired. Has anyone bothered to tell Ms. Goodling that taking the Fifth is an admission of guilt? Monica Goodling got her law degree at Pat Robertson’s School of Dominionist Legalese and Theological Water-boarding for Jesus. Goodnight everybody, decency has left the American building and we are left to our own devices. If it’s the U.S. military, don’t worry, an air-strike is due in about forty five minutes. Yikes and, Sen. ‘skulls’ Clinton thinks that raising 26 million dollars for stumping about the country is a good thing. ‘We the people’ are so very screwed!
